East Midlands Airport Maintenance Contract

We are very pleased to say we have once again been awarded the annual maintenance contract to cover all the barriers from landside to airside. This is the fifth year in succession. The Elka ES60 barriers with high bar curtains were initially installed in December 2005 on a trial basis, they have worked faultlessly ever since with typically 500 individual access operations per night. The roll out program Cerberus initiated then has now been completed bringing the total to around 20 barriers installed to date.

Manchester Airport North Gate Security Fencing

Cerberus is very pleased to be awarded the supply and installation of security fencing and VBIED deterrent at North Security Gate, Manchester airport. This contract represents the type of project that Cerberus is winning from clients that require a premium security service. We are proud to say that Cerberus continues to win new clients against very aggressive competition.
This project will consist of two air-locked vehicle entry lanes and one exit air-locked vehicle lane with controlled and demarcated pedestrian access points.
Cerberus chose APT Ltd for the supply of the Pas 68 road blockers, and we supplied Elka barriers to ensure full compliance with the PAS 68 specification and CPNI approval. All the civil works had to be constructed to PAS 69 these being completed by R&M Developments who have a wide ranging portfolio of works in this PAS 69 specification.

Thames Water

Cerberus Services supplied and installed a second access control system at Hampton to monitor and control the movements of the contractors and staff, to produce muster calls in the case of emergencies.
This project involved the unique installation of a wireless communication links to solve the problem of cabling distances, resulting in greater efficiency and cost savings.
This was the second such system supplied to Thames Water by Cerberus Services, having already installed a similar system at the Mogden water treatment plant in 2006.

Walsall Manor Hospital Trust

In 2006 Cerberus Installed the staff access and ID system for over 3000 staff and have been the trusted service provider for this system and the car parking POF revenue system since. Cerberus Services were initially employed directly by the Hospital Trust and then by Skanska Facilities and Construction as the PFI scheme moved forward, to assist with outgoing work to keep both the staff and revenue systems working as the new hospital was built. Now it is near its projected completion date at the end of May, Cerberus Services has been chosen to supply and install the new POF system. For this project we have chosen The Zeag range of equipment. Once the build and installation are complete, we then start our five year maintenance program for facilities company SRW.

Park Holidays – Carry On Camping with Cerberus

Cerberus Services completed Phase One of an electronic barrier system for the campsite company, Park Holidays based at Coghurst Manor in Hastings East Sussex
The project provides a high-tech solution to solve a number of security and access control problems. Cerberus installed a system to allow central control from the head office at Coghurst for the company’s 30 plus sites. This included barriers controlled by proximity cards that are centrally administered from head office via the internet. The most important part of this was enabling instant access to book caravans, validate or cancel cards and of course, the full monitoring of all of the site facilities on the system such as swimming pools, etc.
Phase Two will consist of the installation of IP intercom and cameras to further increase client security.
