The New Cerberus Services Website
October 7, 2011We have just launched our new website. In the future we will be taking the opportunity to keep our web presence updated so that potential and existing clients can keep track of what we have been doing in the world of security and access control. We will also feature and highlight new products which we think will be of interest.
East Midlands Airport Maintenance Contract
March 22, 2011We are very pleased to say we have once again been awarded the annual maintenance contract to cover all the barriers from landside to airside. This is the fifth year in succession. The Elka ES60 barriers with high bar curtains were initially installed in December 2005 on a trial basis, they have worked faultlessly ever since with typically 500 individual access operations per night. The roll out program Cerberus initiated then has now been completed bringing the total to around 20 barriers installed to date.
Manchester Airport Maintenance Contract
March 4, 2011Building on the success and our relationship with EMAA, Cerberus has just been awarded for the second year, the maintenance contract for all the land side gates, bollards and barriers at this international airport. Cerberus has also supplied and installed 5 sets of automated gates over the last year and the associated Palisade fencing of some 200 metres.
Manchester Airport North Gate Security Fencing
February 23, 2011Cerberus is very pleased to be awarded the supply and installation of security fencing and VBIED deterrent at North Security Gate, Manchester airport. This contract represents the type of project that Cerberus is winning from clients that require a premium security service. We are proud to say that Cerberus continues to win new clients against very aggressive competition.
This project will consist of two air-locked vehicle entry lanes and one exit air-locked vehicle lane with controlled and demarcated pedestrian access points.
Cerberus chose APT Ltd for the supply of the Pas 68 road blockers, and we supplied Elka barriers to ensure full compliance with the PAS 68 specification and CPNI approval. All the civil works had to be constructed to PAS 69 these being completed by R&M Developments who have a wide ranging portfolio of works in this PAS 69 specification.
Thames Water
January 4, 2011Cerberus Services supplied and installed a second access control system at Hampton to monitor and control the movements of the contractors and staff, to produce muster calls in the case of emergencies.
This project involved the unique installation of a wireless communication links to solve the problem of cabling distances, resulting in greater efficiency and cost savings.
This was the second such system supplied to Thames Water by Cerberus Services, having already installed a similar system at the Mogden water treatment plant in 2006.
